I’m a digital journalist and video producer with more than a decade of experience telling engaging stories where audiences are. I’ve created award-winning work and strategy in print, on social media, in your podcast feed and most recently, on your favorite streaming device at ABC News.


MY WORK

ABC NEWS LIVE

I'm a producer/editor for ABC News Live’s dayside team. In this role, I’m the final set of eyes on every video element that makes it to air, and the primary crash producer for quick-turn segments.

I’ve also worked on specials airing on the channel and Hulu, as well as packaged pieces (like the one to your left) that have appeared across ABC News’ broadcasts.

LX NEWS: NEW YORK

When the NBC Owned Stations group launched its new digital channel, NBCLX, they approached WNBC’s digital team to create the channel’s first market- specific content. Our hourly cut-in was the result. We wanted the segment to feel native to the channel, which blended digital and broadcast storytelling techniques, but to also to have a little bit of New York attitude.

LISTEN UP

Listen Up is NBC 4 New York’s daily social media show, created to reach audiences on Instagram, Snapchat and now TikTok. I also led production for several live specials, including from the Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting, the Met Gala and New York Fashion Week.

THE DEBRIEF

The Debrief podcast is WNBC’s weekly conversations podcast, featuring reporters notebooks from reporters in the field and chats with newsmakers and experts in the tri-state area. When I took over production of the show, I added a video feed from tapings to the station’s YouTube channel, exponentially expanding the podcast’s reach. I also produced a 5-part series on the disappearance of Gabbi Petito, which won best podcast at the New York State Broadcast Association Awards.

EXPERIENCE

  • • Served as lead tape producer for six hours of daily coverage at ABC News Live.

    • Quality controlled all visuals during afternoon coverage, fixed on-air errors for re-air at the bottom of the half hour.

    • Crash-edited pre-taped interviews, packages and other video elements.

    • Scripted and produced segments for daily coverage and specials on ABC News Live.

    • Edited long-form packages and specials for ABC News Live.

    • Mentored associate producers and production assistants.

  • • Developed and launched LX News: New York, a daily cutin airing on NBC LX.

    • Scripted, produced and edited LX News: New York and other daily news updates that appeared across NBC New York’s digital verticals.

    • Produced and edited original video features and cut breaking news clips for NBC LX, NBCNewYork.com, social media, OTT and other platforms.

    • Booked guests for digital video segments and arranged field shoots for on-air talent.

    • Produced live-streaming events for NBCNewYork.com, including large-scale productions from the Rockefeller tree lighting and New York Fashion Week

    • Launched NBC 4 New York’s YouTube channel; grew channel to be the largest local broadcast news channel in the market.

    • Managed content for NBC New York’s Roku and Apple TV apps.

    • Oversaw the site as acting managing editor in 2016.

    • Programmed for social channels, wrote stories, managed the site and worked with broadcast teams on web stories.

  • • Served as the managing editor of The College Today, CofC’s news site, and doubled traffic through the first six months of 2017.

    • Re-imagined The College Today’s weekly newsletter, resulting in double-digit percentage increases in open and click-through rates.

    • Wrote and edited stories for the web and CofC magazine and served as the key digital producer for each platform,

    • Coordinated editorial, photo and video resources for daily and long-term assignments and maintained editorial calendars

  • • Reported on public safety and general assignments for the largest newspaper in South Carolina.

    • Created live social media and video coverage for major breaking news events in South Carolina.

    • Managed branded social media accounts and educated newsroom staff on social media best practices.

    • Prepared and edited content for search engine optimization and web readability.

    • Shot and edited video and photos for stories and online projects.

  • • Reported on crime, law enforcement, breaking news and general assignments for the daily paper and a weekly regional insert.

    • Photographed breaking news, events and special projects.

    • Served as primary online reporter for breaking news.

    • Pitched, wrote and photographed enterprising centerpiece packages and stories for a quarterly lifestyle magazine.

  • NBC New York was awarded broadcast journalism’s highest honor in 2021 for its coverage of the beginnings of the COVID-19 pandemic. A true team award, the station was honored for its daily coverage on the air and constant updates where New Yorkers were online and on social media.
